Word of Welcome from the Conférence régionale des élus de Montréal

For several years, the Conférence régionale des élus de Montréal (CRÉ de Montréal) has initiated various projects showcasing Montréal as a city of learning, knowledge and innovation, and has strived to ensure that it gets the recognition it deserves.

Though the scientific community appreciates the Montréal region’s richness and vitality in leading sectors of science and technology, there are few opportunities to share this expertise with the general public. The participants in the project Montréal, ville apprenante de savoir et d’innovation working in the fields of science, economy, education, culture, and municipal and governmental affairs, wish to promote the dissemination of scientific knowledge and encourage discussions on related issues. This means bringing the scientific community and general public closer together through the Rendez-vous des sciences et de l’innovation (Science and Innovation Rendezvous). The Eureka! Festival is one such festive event.

After four successful editions of the festival, the CRé de Montréal is pleased to return this year with an even more elaborate program. The fifth edition of the Eureka! Festival is produced with the Montréal Science Centre and with the financial support of the Québec Government. We are confident it will exhilarate the most inquisitive minds. Make way for science, technology, innovations and Montréal-style creativity!
